Carolyn Elizabeth Hyde, known by her artist name Lyza Hyde, is a Canadian electronic music producer, DJ and live performer. Hyde performes and creates using the Push2, MIDI piano, digital theremin, and her voice in Ableton Live, combining free-hand, live-looping, and DJ mixing techniques.

Carolyn was born and raised in Southern Ontario, Canada, into a family of artists and entrepreneurs, and she gravitated to music early on, taking up singing and piano at just 5 years old. By age 16 she had already begun pursuing her music career, performing regular local shows while learning music production and recording. She is an honours graduate from Cawthra Park School’s Regional Arts Program in Mississagua (2009), and holds a BA in Music production & vocal performance from York University in Toronto (2013). This dedication to her craft resulted in the founding of her production company Celestial Arts in 2014.
She quickly gained acclaim for her unique and memorable performances combining electronic and acoustic instruments with live vocals, landing her a 2 year residency at Brampton’s “Night & Day” avant-garde art club, performing and coordinating weekly showcases. This success lead to her 5 year collaboration with the Brampton Art Collective, from 2015 until disbanding in 2020 due to the Covid19 pandemic.

While in isolation, Hyde recorded and released her debut album Working Title and decided to take her talents online to TwitchTV where she still makes music today!
She has already created and released over 10 albums + singles recorded and filmed in front of a live virtual audience. Shortly after moving to San Antonio in 2021, she discovered live DJ sets on youtube, and began incorporating live mixing techniques into her performances. She is a completely self taught DJ, honing her skills on the Push2, and debuted her first DJ set live on TwitchTV Aug 8 2024.
Defined by her Euphoric sound, Hyde's music explores themes of interconnection and self-acceptance through surrealist and abstract lenses, often accompanied by futuristic, celestial, and tropical visuals drenched in violet, pink, and aqua hues. Sonically, she draws inspiration from deep house, dub techno, melodic and progressive house, as well as breaks, IDM, and downtempo. This rare and enchanting blend of styles allows her to deeply connect with her listeners globally, weaving a soundscape that transcends borders and language. With her unique creative vision, she is a truly captivating artist on the rise, and is one of the internet's true hidden gems.
